generation champagnes and non-champagnes have not all been
evaluated. Until they are evaluated and the third generation of
champagnes stops producing, the lists are not set in stone.

Generation 1:
Mack's Golden Girl H. (TWHBEA
#650174) was foaled in 1963. Her sire was Moonlight McKay, and her
dam was Stroling Rose Allen, both listed as "sorrel." However, the
champagne gene was not known about (the gene got its name from a
daughter of Mack's Golden Girl H.) and it is possible that one
parent may have been champagne. Mack's Golden Girl H. was a gold
champagne. She produced 5 foals over the coarse of her lifetime, but
only one is known to have received the champagne gene:
Champagne Lady Diane.
Generation 2:
Champagne Lady Diane (TWHBEA
#696266) was registered as "chestnut", but was actually a classic
champagne. Her sire, Johnny Midnight, was a black stallion.
Champagne Lady Diane's life is chronicled in "A
Horse of a Different Color", by Bea Kinkade. Champagne Lady
produced 7 offspring, 3 of which were champagne:
Champagne's Copy,
Champaign Night, and
Champagne Look.
Generation 3:
Champagne's Copy (TWHBEA #804020) was out of Champagne Lady
Diane and by GLL's Carbon Copy. She was a classic champagne mare
foaled on 10/25/1980. Copy was shown successfully before retiring to
become a broodmare. Unfortunately, she was struck by lightening and
killed before foaling.
Champaign Night (TWHBEA #856460) was another classic
champagne out of Champagne Lady Diane. His sire was Pride's Stormy
Night. Night produced 7 offspring, 6 of which were champagne:
Champagne's Night Prowler,
Champagne Touché,
Champagne's Moon Power,
Champagne Lynda Lou,
Champagne's Party Girl, and
Champagne's Storm Power.

Champagne Look (TWHBEA #892378), the last champagne foal out
of Champagne Lady Diane, was foaled 4/13/1989. His sire was Royal
Senator. There is also mention of Look in "A
Horse of a Different Color", by Bea Kinkade. Of the 73
registered offspring that Look had produced by 2004, they break down
as follows:
4 registered as "bay"
35 registered as "black"
1 registered as "brown"
1 registered as "chestnut"
(although I suspect this horse is misregistered, as there is strong
evidence to suggest that Look is homozygous for black)
32 registered as "champagne"

Champagne's Night Prowler
(TWHBEA #904199). By Champaign
Night and out of Black Power Woman. Foaled on 05/27/1990
and registered as a "dun." He has no registered offspring listed.
Champagne Touché (TWHBEA
#910502). By Champaign Night and
out of Champagne's Chance. Foaled on
05/15/1991. Classic champagne. Her dam, Champagne's Chance, was a black mare by Pride's
Champagne, a black stallion out of
Champagne Lady Diane. She was bred to
Champagne Look and produced a classic champagne mare, Champagne
Diane.
Champagne's Moon Power
(TWHBEA #915815). By Champaign Night
and out of Black Power Woman, making him a full brother to
Champagne's Night Prowler.
He was foaled on 10/10/1991 and registered as a "dun." He was gelded
and produced no offspring.
Champagne Lynda Lou
(TWHBEA #932511). By
Champaign Night and out of
Sattellite's Wonder Girl. Foaled on 02/19/2001 and
registered as a "dun." She was bred to Eb's Delight Gunsmoke and
produced a filly, Lady Margaret's Gunsmoke, registered as "roan."
